Photography Permit 

A permit is required for all formal posed photography. This includes individual and family, engagement, wedding, prom, holiday card, graduation, senior photos and the like. ​Buy a photography permit here.

The Arboretum is a popular, much loved landscape for photographers. Casual photography of your visit for personal use is welcome. However, if you are coming to the Arboretum for the sole purpose of taking posed photographs, a permit is required.

 The Friends of the Glen Rock Arboretum is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 Tax Exempt organization. We depend on volunteers, memberships and contributions to maintain and preserve the Arboretum. As such, we charge the following fees for the photography permit. If you are a member at the Supporting Level ($100/year) or higher, you will receive a 50% discount.

Portrait Photography: Pictures by a professional photographer of individuals or groups
  • $20/hour (member pricing is $10/hour)
  • Recommended number of hours to purchase:
         - 1 hr for each party of 1-2 people
         - 2 hs for each party of 3 or more people

Commercial Photography: Photography that is used to help sell, advertise or market a product, service, person or persons. 
  • $50/hour (member pricing is $25/hour)


Discount for Members at the Supporting Level or Higher:
  • You must be a paid member at the Supporting Level or higher at the time you purchase a photography permit to receive the 50% discount. You will need your member number, so make sure to have it handy.
